SBL wins tender from Geological Survey of India

Hyderabad, October 2017: Kochi based service provider company, SBL Services Ltd., recently won a tender from the Geological Survey of India (GSI), the prime provider of basic earth science information. GSI, the office associated with the Ministry of Mines for conducting geological studies and surveys, chose SBL to take over the responsibility of digitizing its non-coordinated maps of unpublished mineral investigation reports. Primarily, GSI department of SBL will be taking over the responsibility for the successful implementation of the proposed project assigned by the GSI.

About GSI: GSI is one of the oldest government organizations and was set up in 1846, primarily to find coal deposits for the railways. GSI conducts ground, air-borne and marine surveys and studies about mineral prospecting. Headquartered at Kolkata, GSI has six other regional offices.
